KXCI’s Sonic Solstice was a blast!
Had such a great time ringing in the winter solstice with the great folks at KXCI on their 8th Annual Sonic Solstice. We did an interesting mix of seasonal tunes: Merry Christmas From The Family by Robert Earl Keen, Christmas Don’t Be Late, made famous by Alvin and The Chipmunks, and the Jackson Five version of Up On The Housetop.
Then we chatted with Laurie Starr and Dan Twelker about rum balls, reindeer steaks and the eclectic music scene in Tucson. Had a great time and thanks to Dan, Laurie, Michael Serpe, Duncan Hudson and Cathy Rivers for another wonderful KXCI experience.

Our good friend Valis at the Trip Inside This House blog is doing another Summer Solstice compilation – a whole cd of songs called Trip Inside This House! We just put our contribution together this week – Sonic Daydream (Trip Inside This House) and shipped it off to Valis by deadline (whew!) and we’re pretty pleased with the results. Tucson is a music kinda town
just dropping word that we are getting along swimmingly with our new adopted hometown of tucson, az. been meeting lots of great people – playing lots of great jams – and getting used to the dryyyyyyyyyyyyy air. in short, we’re really digging it – got a gig coming up in feb (see Shows) and lots of local bands, movies and happenings to catch up on. more updates soon!
