Yes, it’s been a while since you’ve heard from us. But rockers need holidays too and we’ve been working on some other projects, chillin’ out and indulging in some holiday merrymaking. And then recovering from some holiday merrymaking.
We did manage to come up with a new year’s resolution. Here’s a hint:
But now it’s back to work on making 2014 the rockingest Modeens year yet with new tunes and some fun gigs on the horizon. Here are some dates to pencil in:
February 21st – PLUSH with Al Perry and Adam Marsland
March 8th – Headlining for 2nd Saturdays Downtown (All ages!)
April 5th – Kon Tiki Festival at one of the last temples to mid-century tiki culture
More coming soon – until then here’s a movie recommendation for ya! A Band Called Death (available on Netflix Streaming). It’s the story of the all-African American band from Detroit in 1974 who were playing punk rock before Lester Bangs had ever coined the term. Inspiring, at times heartbreaking, and the music seriously rocks.
