cd release party – May 18 at Barrio Brewing!

Gears are in motion. Artwork is evolving and we’ve got a date to celebrate the release of our latest aural offering!

cd release party – May 18th at the IPA Room/Barrio Brewing

Those few lucky enough to have attended some rare events in this room know what a kickass space it is: spiral tree sculpture, colored indoor lanterns, ancient Indian doors, mountain views and of course a bar offering signature microbrews from Barrio Brewing Co.

And this will be the setting of our CD release party in a few weeks!

On top of that, we’ll be joined by surf-rock villains Shrimp Chaperone and psychedelic super group Saint Maybe. Folks, it’s gonna be a humdinger of a night for rock n roll so mark those calendars and make those flight arrangements. More details will be rolling out as we get closer so definitely stay tuned.

more album hints: lyrics

Now that we have three songwriters (smokin’ keyboardist and harp player Dave Prival contributed a couple of songs), our tunes are chock full of stories now. I’m not at liberty to reveal whole songs’ worth yet, but here are some completely out-of-context snippets:

Drinking is a full time job and I’m working overtime

I don’t need Swedish caviar

Be your own kinda jellybean

So I pulled a water gun and started shooting.

He’s always knocking on my front door, before too long I can’t take it no more

Riding through the barrio, I see you in every mural

Don’t board that sinking ship.

Kill me now, yeah do us all a favor

Shut up and dance!

Who’s drinking so much? Why was someone driven to water gun use and who keeps knocking on the door? And what’s up with all this dancing? Answers will soon be revealed in the new album (or not).

Next up we’ll be revealing the name of the new album (yes it has a name!) and some of the new artwork being crafted by Jamie right now. Much more soon!
