Here’s another review of Electric Caribou from that epic review tome, Big Takeover magazine (by Michael Toland):
“Tucson’s Modeens keep it simple on their third LP, sticking to a few chords, energetic rhythms and an infectious “Gee whiz, playing rock ‘n’ roll is a blast!” attitude. Tunes such as the frat-rocking “Fantasy,” punkish “Mr. Jones,” and Faces-nodding “Drinkin’ is a Full Time Job” have no agenda other than sounding cool coming from the speakers. The country rockin’ “Favorite Shoes,” desert rocking “Faster,” and psychedelic “Caroline” display the band’s versatility, proving there’s more to it than rocking for the next beer. Not that there’s anything wrong with that; sometimes hooks, brio and a big smile are all you need.”
Thanks, Michael!
And here are some awesome photos taken by sprytime.com of our 2nd Saturdays show back in March. Really love these shots:
That’s all for now – but keep an eye out for our next gig, June 19th at The Flycatcher with Michael P Nordberg and Silverbell!
